Hello, my name is Lesley and I moved to Bayview after my retirement from working 40 years at both Medway Hospital and the Somerfield Hospital in Maidstone Kent.

I started my career at Medway Hospital back in the early 1980’s as a student, whilst bringing up my two young children.  Four years later I qualified as a Cardiac Physiologist and continued to work at Medway Hospital until 1995.  Thereafter, I went to work in the Theatre complex at the Somerfield Hospital in Maidstone.  The last 10 years of my working life and until the  closure of the hospital, I was part of the management team heading up the NHS Choose and Book Service at the Somerfield Hospital.

My greatest achievement in my career was setting up and commissioning the Cardiac Pacemaker and  Catheter Service  at Medway Hospital.

In 2019 and after my retirement  I joined Curlys Farm as part of the volunteering team.  I worked at the farm two days a week mainly working with adult clients from Neptune House on the Isle of Sheppy and on a 1:1 with a young person that attended the farm on a weekly basis as part of her education.

I became a  Community Trustee of the Farm in 2023.
